Typeform

Principal function(s): Poll and survey creators

Typeform is a tool for making fun and pretty surveys and questionnaires. Polls can be made by dragging and dropping questions and adding or changing design elements. Registration with an email address is needed, although this is free and quick. Typeform offers ready-made templates that can be used and edited. Users can also create their own polls from scratch. Surveys can be shared through a link. There exist both desktop and mobile versions. Evaluation: The basic plan makes it possible to create simple questionnaires and surveys with up to 10 questions for free. It is not time-limited. Its interface is user-friendly and does not require a lot of time for mastering.

Medium. Typeform collects personal information for various purposes, among which advertising. It does not share user data with third parties beyond specific situations, and employs cookies that do not provide personally identifiable information and can be managed or blocked through browser settings. Typeform hosts data on Amazon's AWS servers, with main servers in the USA and EU servers. It uses encryption protocols (TLS and AES) for data in transit and at rest, along with strict confidentiality agreements for employees. Typeform acknowledges users’ rights to access to their data, object to certain data processing methods, and initiate data deletion. Typeform states compliance with the GDPR. See more here.

Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
