PlayPosit

Principal function(s): Image and video editingQuiz/exercise makers

With PlayPosit teachers can create interactive lessons by adding questions to videos, which they may have recorded either from outside sources or created themselves. An online library is also available, with a selection of pre-designed free lessons organized by area and subject. Evaluation: The interface is simple and intuitive and allows the teacher to easily access information on students’ progress in answering the questions. It is also worth browsing the library to discover what other teachers have created for their lessons.

Medium. Playposit collects personal information such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, and some additional information specific to instructor and learner users. It does so for different purposes, among which is marketing. However, Playposit does not sell user information to third parties. It also maintains the security and integrity of personal information through secure server storage and firewalls. PlayPosit mentions that users can view and modify their account information and request the deletion of their accounts. It also acknowledges users’ right to access, modify or delete data. Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation. Users just have to type specific phrases, watch them being used naturally in context within popular movies and TV shows, and listen to their pronunciation. Playphrase works mainly with English.
