The objective of both regional workshops was:

  • to exchange knowledge and experience in the area of quality development and training for quality assurance;
  • to present national developments related to quality management and teacher training;
  • to study the preliminary version of the “Qualitraining” guide for quality assurance which will be the end product of this project.

General information about the project
This project is a follow-up to the project of the ECML’s first programme on “Quality assurance and self-assessment for schools and teachers”. It aims to develop a training kit, to provide training for language educators and multipliers and to start a cascading process at international level.

Expected product:
Brochure and CD-ROM providing resources for professionals responsible for training and the set-up of quality management systems.
Available in February 2007 in English and French.

Potential users:

  • trainers of language educators,
  • professionals with managerial responsibility (heads of language schools, principals, academic managers, curriculum leaders, etc.),
  • people involved in running quality control schemes and activities in language education,
  • teacher training institutions,
  • language teacher associations.
