The central event will build upon the results achieved to date within the framework of the project.

Specific aims of the central event will be that

· Teacher of the Week;
· Internet Discussion Forum;
· Language Teachers’ Wonderland and related action plans.
2. Participants will extend and enrich content, experience, vision which arise from the already implemented sub-projects.
3. Participants will analyse the differences that exist between teacher status in the varied contexts.
4. Participants will be given an overview of current developments in language education, the role of these in personal and professional development as well as their potential effect on educational status.
5. An attempt will be made to plan concrete professional actions, activities, with the help of which they can initiate, facilitate and maintain status-raising procedures in their own local, regional and national educational context. Training and development activities to carry out status-raising activities will be provided.
6. Participants are expected to reach a professional consensus over their perceived and shared understanding of a common core of factors influencing status, and by the end of the workshop, they will create a ‘Charter of Principles’.
