Developing language awareness in subject classes

In order to succeed, learners need to have a solid command of the language used in class, which is different from the language used in everyday non-academic situations. The project will provide subject teachers with practical procedures to identify the needs of their learners and to support them.

Literacies through content and language integrated learning: effective learning across subjects and languages (CLIL)

The project aims to develop CLIL approaches, which teachers can use in the classroom, with a special focus on providing support for academic literacies in secondary education. A toolkit for transforming CLIL practice will be developed, evaluated, adapted and disseminated by practitioners.
