91% indicated that the conference has motivated them to become more active in networking with the professional community.
83% agreed that the conference encouraged them to play a more influential role in reform processes in their professional environment.
Almost 90% committed themselves to promote quality aspects of language education that were highlighted during the conference in their daily work.
Commenting on the conference agenda 89.50% of respondents stated that the event provided a good balance between policy and practice.
88.5% considered that the plenary presentation provided interesting input and 97.5% felt that the presentations during the parallel sessions stimulated reflection and discussion.
Several respondents indicated their regret that they could not visit more parallel project sessions but over 84% were happy with the organisation of these.
An overwhelming majority of respondents were pleased with the organisation of the event with the evaluation of the pre-event administrative information from the ECML secretariat and the service provided by ECML staff topping the ranking (100% approval).
97% found the event facilities good and 91% appreciated accommodation and travel arrangements. Individuals commented that it was highly appreciated to meet colleagues from other countries and exchange ideas.
Several respondents praised the friendly and warm atmosphere of the conference and the accompanying social events.
Some highlighted the fact that still more emphasis could be put on the implementation in ECML member countries and invested in practical technical aid for teachers.
20% of the participants wanted to present an account of the ECML activities and publications in their work environment in the following 6 months after the conference, others intended to give presentations at conferences or publish an article or website information on the event.
