Principal function(s): Citation managers

A tool to find, organise, read and annotate research articles, books, and more. Users can collaborate with one another and share research material. Data is automatically synced with all devices (computers, mobile devices) online. It has browser and application versions. Evaluation: A useful way for teachers and students to organise research papers. It can be used primarily with advanced learners since it is suitable for research projects. The sharing feature may facilitate collaborative research. Substantial IT skills are required.

Elsevier mentions users' rights to request access, correction, deletion, or data portability, providing some degree of user control. Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
